Where are the best places for a Family Photoshoot in London?
Choose Windsor Great Park for your Family Location Photoshoot and make a whole day of it.
Where are the best places for a Family Photoshoot in London?
Windsor Great Park is definitely one of my favourite venues for family and children photoshoots. The park has a gorgeous natural backdrop lined with trees and grassland which are perfect for children to explore while I capture the moment beautifully.
Being on location is all about allowing children to explore the natural environment, engage in free play, and to connect with nature. It’s also about helping children to develop a sense of curiosity and creativity. This environment helps me document your child’s personality when they are in a place they feel comfortable in.
Are Family Photoshoots more relaxed on location?
I only book two session a day, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon so everyone can relax and feel comfortable. We quickly build a rapport that results in images that are naturally joyous and reflect your child’s true personality.
Whatever your child’s age, I tailor your photoshoot around your family: the things you all enjoy, how you laugh and how you love. As no two families are the same so every photoshoot is different.
There are many venues I would choose for a family photoshoot but Windor Great Park is definitely my first choice as you can make a full day of it whilst you are there as it has so much on offer.
How do Family Photoshoots work?
We will start off by meeting in the parking lot and head off for your family photoshoot whilst everyone looks their best. This photoshoot will definitely work up an appetite for the children so once we are done, you can enjoy an ice-cream at the café or have a family lunch at The Savill Garden Kitchen which has an indoor restaurant or outdoor terrace. After lunch, why not reward the children for their good behaviour and efforts by treating them to The Adventure Playground. This brand-new giant play area, Adventure Play, is an incredible designed and well-constructed play area for the whole family based next door to The Savill Garden and Obelisk Pond. There is plenty for the children (and adults) to do, from sand, water and music play to multiple slides, bridges, tunnels, nets and houses to explore.
The play area is set over multiple levels and there are lots of little houses to explore including a cafe and post office. Adults can also enjoy the play area… so you most probably will find yourself heading down a slide or walking over a giant net!
How will the family photoshoot work?
When we arrive in Windor Great Park for your family photoshoot, we will take a leisurely walk together towards the Obelisk Pond and I will use my professional eye to spot the perfect backdrop. I will photograph a selection of family images as well as photographs of your children together and alone.
During the session, I will give your family ideas and guide you to make sure you look your best. At times, I will casually walk with your children to see what they find interesting; this family session is designed to be relaxed and enjoyable.
I understand that the weather is not always reliable so when booking family photoshoots on location, I am flexible and happy to change days and times to make sure we have the perfect shoot.
As a highly-regarded children photographer in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire, I’ll provide you with simple, beautiful images to cherish.

Booking process – the need-to-know basics
For family photoshoots, you first need to choose a location package. If you decide to start with a smaller package, there is always an opportunity to upgrade once you see the photographs.
Once you have selected a package, please get in contact with me so that we can finalise a date for your family location photoshoot. Payment is required within 48 hours, otherwise, the booking expires. I only take a few bookings a week so enquire early to avoid disappointment.
Pre-shoot consultation
Once the booking is paid in full, and therefore confirmed, I will be in touch to discuss ideas for the shoot as well as a location, via email or phone. Feel free to ask any questions as we go through the process. Knowing what you’d like from your photographs, and how you may use and present them – a print, frame, photo book or just digital photos to share, ahead of time is really helpful so we create photos you really love.
Editing your family photoshoot
Your photographs will be lovingly edited. I spend a great deal of care editing each photograph – creating both a colour and black and white version of each image. The hours spent in post-production result in a series of striking images that will work well together as a series, or that can be printed or framed individually.
Retouching your family photoshoot
Within your package comes an edit of your photos from over a few hundred photos taken. I make sure the images look great by balancing the colours and tones.
Viewing your family photographs
Within 1 to 2 weeks, the images will be added to my website with a secure link for you to choose your favourites. Once you have seen them and narrowed them down, you can either send me the numbers you would like me to edit, or we can hold a zoom call to discuss images in more detail.
Your edit will include all images in colour and black and white, and both high res for printing and low res to share online.
I strongly believe in printing the images to have a physical copy, so your gorgeous photos don’t disappear down the photo file rabbit hole.
You can order prints and product directly with me. Here is a link to everything I offer.
I am not here to do a hard sell - you’ll have the option when the final files are delivered to look at options yourselves on the website.
