Baby photoshoot safety for photographers in Buckinghamshire and London

Props used in newborn Buckinghamshire photoshoots are extremely popular and add a creative touch to your baby photographs. When posing a newborn in a prop, make sure all safety measures are in place to protect the baby while being posed in their newborn photoshoot. When babies are sleeping, they don’t usually move however you never know if a noise might startle the baby. A baby could kick their legs and push themselves to the edge of the prop, this could possibly very dangerous and therefore photographers ALWAYS need to prepare for the worst case scenario.

When photographing a newborn photoshoot, the first thing to do is make sure your baby’s bottom is placed deep within the prop you are using so that they are deep and secure.  The next thing you always need is a spotter; the simplest way is to get parents involved. Parents love being a part of their newborn photoshoot as it makes the session more fun and interesting. I usually ask the baby’s father to assist just in case mum is still sore after giving birth and you don’t want to put her in a position where she must react quickly on impulse; this would not be fair to ask of her.

Make sure you give mum lots of breaks during your baby photoshoot and always offer help. This will give mum a small break and make her time more enjoyable with you.

Using props are a fantastic way to add fun to your shoot but always put the babies safety first.
